Happy New Year 2010

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years Day and hope this year is a great one!
Not much going on in the Jensen home. Just having fun with two boys!

We spent New Years up in Idaho and all the kids went 'sleigh riding', AKA: got pulled on a sled behind a 4-wheeler. Tyce enjoyed it for a good 10 minutes.











This is his fetish lately. Watching either Nemo ('Mo'), Up, or Madagascar on the portable DVD player. This picture makes him look like such a little boy.













Tyce has his cute big brother moments when he wants to. So far, Trey has dealt with some subtle accidental abuse, as expected. Tyce has been a good "helper" though.

Little Trey man. At his 2 week appointment he had gained over a pound. This kid can eat and has filled out a lot. So fun though even though I am a little exhausted!








Sledding at Grandmother and Grandads with cousins on Christmas








I call this picture pure jealousy seeing how Tyce has not sucked on a pacifier since he was 4 months old and then a baby comes and this is what happens.









Andy has taken Tyce a couple of times to go sledding. Tyce has loved it, even though the picture shows differently. This particular day was Christmas Eve and we didn't have snow attire for Tyce so we put layers of clothes on him, including pajamas and sandwich bags on his feet, to keep him warm. Hey, it worked!! I, on the other hand, stayed in the car with Trey. Maybe next year we can all go.

And then there were four......

The Jensen family grew this last Tuesday with the birth of our 2nd son Trey Takataro Jensen (Takataro is Trey's Japanese great great grandfathers name).

Trey decided to come a little early and was born at 3:09 pm. He weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was 19 in long. The actual birth of Trey went well for both him and Tricia. Tricia only spent 2 to 3 min pushing and before we knew it Trey was here. However, the moments leading up to Trey's birth were a little more scary and uncertain - we were a few minutes away from an emergency c-section. Things were good when we arrived at the hospital but after a few moments Trey's heart rate was up and down and some points it got dangerously low to the point were even the nurses and the doctor were a little nervous.

What seemed like was going to be the last check before making the decision to deliver Trey via c-section the doctor was surprised to find Tricia dilated to a 10 and figured we were good to go. So after a few minutes of pushing Trey entered the world.

As always, the experience was great and reminded us of just how blessed we are to have the technologies we have to ensure that both mother and son were safe. We were very grateful to all the nurses and doctors that helped and for all you friends and family that were able to visit.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Halloween was so fun this year. Tyce was Handy Manny from Playhouse Disney. As you can see, he didn't want to wear the gloves. He lasted about 6 houses and kind of got the concept of getting candy. He just followed his cousins...Halle, the scary little red riding hood and Buzz #1 and Buzz #2. It was fun going to Andy's work too!

We recently went up to Grandad and Grandmothers in Ogden. The boys loved running down their hill and play with golf balls.
In late September we went up to Idaho. Tyce got to drive in a potato truck with Grandpa Jensen and help him pick vegetables from the garden. I learned a lot about what goes into harvesting potatoes. The picture with Andy and Tyce is just a tiny hill of potatoes we saw. Pretty interesting!

Our last trip to California we decided to go to the beach before our next few days at Disneyland...yes, again. We stopped at Huntington Beach and just made it before sunset. Silly me, I didn't think about how much Tyce loves water and didn't bring back-up clothes. So, after a little bit of a fight, we gave in and just let him play. We bought a cute new HB shirt out of that though.

So all the boys did pretty good at Disneyland. It was hot, but fun, like always. We had backpacks with 'leashes' on them that seemed to make them think they could try and run away. They were cute on them though. Carter got off the rides and said, "Again?" and Kenji wouldn't even want to get off. It was fun to see them so excited to see characters and enjoy the rides. We had fun with Clint, Kristen, Halle and the boys. Of course it's always great to have my parents there too.
